What this section covers

This section is for people who need to know the rules of the industry they work in. When we looked at what people across the UK search for about their work, very few searches were about rights in a particular industry. People search for the card or licence they need before they can start, the rules they have to follow on site or at work, and what their job pays.

So each guide here answers one of those questions from the official source for it: the body that runs the scheme, the regulator, or the law itself. Each guide also links to the rights that apply to everyone at work, such as the minimum wage, holiday pay and what to do after an accident.

We are adding industries one guide at a time, starting with construction, then workplace safety, contractors and pay scales. Guides that already sit in other sections and matter to people at work are listed here too.
